Derek, it swells when soaked as you know, thing is it carries on swelling for several hours mate which a lot wont realise, if fish are mopping up quantities it can cause it to continue to swell within...

Im convinced that if I didnt switch to smaller baits this season when the river was low, I wouldn't have caught the number or size of fish that I did!Regards, Darren Please insert beer and try again.

yes steve, used hemp, maggots and corn and stuff on thames in past, worked ok but the bream shoals have now grown totally out of proportion, but no reason for it not to work still, just the amounts...

not at all derek mate, its just that a lot of guys wet groundbait down, mix it a bit then use it, rusk should be left to soak and swell for at least an hour or two before using it as groundbait mate,...
